I have the pleasure each year working next to Nolan and Dexter at Whirligig Children's Festival at the Seattle Center.  I am amazed at what they create with each victim that comes their way.  Capturing the image of what sits in their chair and transforming it onto paper for a fun family portrait, or individual souvenir.  Great job guys, keep sketching...

We hired Over The Line Art for a company picnic last year.  We've always had caricature artists at our event and know how popular they tend to be, so we knew we needed to have someone great this year.  Nolan and Over The Line Art was recommended as one of the "Best" in our area and Nolan didn't disappoint.  There was always a steady line and his pictures were simply amazing.  You could absolutely tell who everyone was and Nolan's passion and talent showed in every single picture.  You often hear about how awkward it is to sit there while the artist sketches you, but all the feedback about Nolan was that he took the time to make it fun and have an actual conversation with the guests.  Hands down, Nolan and Over The Line Art is the best in the area and we will absolutely use them again.  In fact, we will probably add a few more artists to keep up with the demand!

I was looking for a face painter for the finish line area at the Susan G. Komen Seattle 3-Day and I came across OTLA. I had an extremely small budget and Nolan was able to work with what I had to give. On the day of our event, he sent Monica to us. She was PERFECT! Not only was she on time, but she was in good spirits, quick, had beautiful artwork, and was a true joy to work with. Everyone loved her. I even took 5 minutes from my busy day to get my face done. They were at Yelp's 10th Burstday party and they're very talented.  Monica asked me what I liked (hearts and daisies) and asked what I was looking to get drawn on my face.  I told her she could do whatever she liked (she loved that) and told her the colors I liked.  When I saw what she'd done it was like she read my mind!  It was very simple, just pink hearts with some white daisies and that was it.  I LOVED IT!  I didn't want to wash my face...but didn't wan to wake up to a pink pillow and face so I took lots of pictures.  If I ever have an opportunity to throw a huge party, definitely hiring these guys.  It made the party so much fun!

Over The Line is over the top good. I can't say enough about the hardworking guys at this awesomely unique company. I had the pleasure of working with them for a big corporate event and not only did they show up as planned but they did it with huge smiles on their faces. Remember how cupcakes were all the rage 5 years ago? And now it's all about pie? Well photo booths were all the rage back then too but now people want caricature drawings! Don't trust me? Just ask the 1,100 guests at my event!  Instead of leaving an event with a photo of yourself, why not leave a wedding, a birthday, a corporate event or even the farmer's market with a badass drawing of your likeness?  Look for these guys because they're everywhere and there's no one offering near to the amount of talent or creativity they bring to the drawing board. I can't wait to work with them again. In fact, the only bum-out I had was that my boss and I sat together for a drawing and she took it home with her. So I don't have a copy! BWAAA! But that just means I need to get one for myself. Or steal my twin sisters. Hers is pretty adorable too. Get your drawing done by these guys, you won't regret it!

My wife and I had our 1st caricature done by Dexter Rothchild at the Washington State Fair in Puyallup. Not only did he do an OUTSTANDING job, it was also a very fun experience. As I am an artist myself and my wife and I both work in customer service, we had VERY high expectations. Dexter far exceeded those expectations and we will definitely return exclusively to him for any future needs in this arena.

OTLA was recommended to us for an event by another vendor as the best caricature artists they've seen at the MANY events they have worked.  Nolan was professional and pleasant throughout the experience.  He was flexible and was willing to add an additional hour to the contracted time a few days prior, when we realized we wanted him for longer.
Nolan's price was competitive an his drawings were wonderful.  So often caricatures don't really look like the people sitting for them, however, often times I walked by the drawings and knew exactly who Nolan was drawing.  This was a popular activity at our event and I'm not sure Nolan even had a chance to stand up and walk around, and yet he was still positive and upbeat at the end of 4 hours.  
We will book Nolan again for our event next year.

Nolan from Over the Line was at Meeker Days this weekend,  We had Nolan do a great picture of our son Cole as superman.  Great personality and great artistic talent. A cool idea would be to have OTL productions come out to your event and/or party!  Will definitely use again in the future

I think that is definitely something we’d like to do again, especially if we are able to specifically request him. Dexter was beyond amazing. So so good with the guests and his art is insanely good

We've worked with Nolan from Over the Line Productions twice now - both times for kid's parties.  The first gig was for half a dozen tween girls.  Nolan was generous enough to draw all the girls in color.  All of those girls have their caricatures on their walls as a remembrance of the party.  The second gathering was a Halloween party with about twenty teenagers.  Nolan did black and white drawings of the kids in costume - outstanding!  This time we had small poster tubes on hand so the kids could take them home without damaging them.  Several parents commented they saved the drawings.

Beyond a top-notch artistic talent, Nolan is really impressive in how he interacts with the kids.  Tween girls at a b-day party vs. twenty teenagers at a Halloween have a very different vibe yet Nolan had both groups laughing, comfortable and really enjoying the experience.  We'd say Nolan a highlight at both parties.  Next time we'll be hiring Nolan for a dinner party with both adults and kids - will be great.

These guys were one of the highlights of ZomBcon in seattle this October. I mean, who doesn't want to see what they would look like as the walking dead without the embarrassing smell and limb loss? Totally awesome! Great colors and for the quality they are mind-blowingly fast. I've seen some of their other art as well and these guys are certainly the best around!

I stumbled on Nolan through a work project (on which he did a fantastic job), and got a crazy idea to have him create a caricature of our entire family of 6 for our Christmas card. I don't know how he does it -- Nolan has never met us and only spoken with me on the phone. I sent him a handful of pictures, and like magic... he created the most perfect, fabulous, hysterical and spot-on caricature of each and every one of us. Nolan has an amazing knack to pickup on subtle nuances and showcase not just features, but true personality in his illustrations. He BLEW US AWAY, and we literally laughed until we cried when we received the images. Amazing, truly amazing!! We can't wait to use Nolan again - what a creative mind and brilliant lifestyle artist!!

A little belated, but my boyfriend and I had a portrait done over the weekend at Arts and Crafts in Anacortes. I was a bit hesitant to have it done, because the last caricature done of us wasn't really what we had hoped. But we conversed a bit with Teague and felt like we'd try again, and holy moly, we were happy with the outcome! We wanted to do some Batman villain themed work, and he really delivered ( even put some comic references in there that I didn't catch until we'd left - the laughing fish). It's framed and displayed in our living room. What a great artist! Thanks for making me confident about caricature art!!
